YOUTH AIKIDO

YOUTH CLASS
TO START IN JANUARY:

Aikido Youth for 13 yrs +
Instructors: Roland Werner and Alix Flavelle
Mondays and Fridays 5-6 pm.
3 month sessions
 Fees: $175

Aikido is a non-competitive, non-aggressive martial art. Aikido started in Japan, and now it is practised all over the world. It can be used for self-defense, but it is much more than that. Aikido is about improving yourself from within. It is about developing awareness.... of ourselves, of each other, and of our environment.

PEACEFUL WARRIOR TRAINING
  • Learn the art of falling and rolling - this will help prevent injury and enhance your performance in other sports.
  • Improve your balance, coordination and and general fitness.
  • Develop a sense of centredness that will help you in every situation.
  • Enhance your self-confidence.
  • Open opportunities for international travel and exchange.

Each session youth attend a one or two day weekend intensive called a gasshuku. You will have the opportunity to rapidly increase your aikido skills and develop leadership as well. Testing will take place during these times, for those students who are ready.
