Campgrounds

Nelson City Campground
Offers tenting sites and full-service for motorhomes, as well as a laundromat and
other facilities. Within walking distance of the dojo.
It's best to make reservations, at 250-352-7618.

Shannon's RV Park
is on the lake, 4 miles north of Nelson, 250-825-9648.

WHERE TO EAT

Nelson, a city of about 15,000 people, is situated on the West Arm of 160-kilometre-long Kootenay Lake. Named "one of the top hundred arts towns in North America," it is alive with street festivals and arts events all summer long. Some public buildings and many houses have retained their Victorian loveliness.

Nelson can be a base for exploring the magnificent Selkirk mountains, the Valhallas, and vast, pristine Kootenay Lake. Mountain biking, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, trekking, camping, golfing, and fishing are popular activities of the area. Visit the following locations for more information:
